    REYKJAVIK, Iceland — Iceland's former Prime Minister Geir Haarde has been referred to a special court in a move that could make him the first world leader to be charged in connection with the global financial crisis.

    i know it what happened was very tough on iceland but this is a little over the top i think... i doubt the court will really charge/convict him

    Yup. I like the idea of holding our leaders responsible for their fuck ups, however I don't like the idea if it involves foreign nations in any way.

    i too like the idea but the problem is (especially with something so complex as the economy) the blame lies with multiple people, likely even hundreds
