What a retarded response. I'm not surprised though.

Re: The poor, poor rich
And that's a load of bullshit. Reagan had the same idea with "trickle-down" economics, which is where the poor wait for the rich to piss on them, essentially. The idea is that by concentrating more wealth with the already-wealthy, it will trickle down to the poor. And like GHWBush said, that's voodoo economics. All the poor and middle-class get are bread crumbs. So it really is a system to help the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, and Thatcher's defense of that is laughable, at best, which probably explains all the laughter I heard in the video...

Take it easy Trigger. Calm down. You're getting close to crossing a line. You've made a good response, don't water it down with useless antagonizing.
But on the topic, Asianator what you posted is anecdotal evidence ("I know this or that person who says this or that.") which is not real evidence at all. You would need to find some polls or studies to back up your claim.

John Kenneth Galbraith Quote - "If one feeds the horse enough oats, some will pass through to the road for the sparrows." Galbraith is an economist who taught at Princeton and then was the Professor of Economics at Harvard.
If you have taken any college level economics class, they will talk about the trickle down affect and will more than likely mention Galbraith's horse/sparrow example. They will also mention that this method is more effective in developing countries than large sustained countries.
Edit: I am agreeing with you as I don't see trickle down economics as a viable way to help balance the rich/poor balance.Last edited by HeavyG; 11-08-10 at 08:56 PM.
