Well Fox News is reporting right now that the House is going to be controlled by the Republicans after tonight with the help of a 60 seat swing. Damn if that holds true thats just a plain old ass whooping.

Hats off to the Dems for fighting their asses off and so far doing better than I expected.

Projected numbers have been fairly accurate ad opposed to say 2004.

VA looks to have snapped back into the Red so I am satisfied.

We'll check it in the morning.

But the Senate is most likely going to stay blue, so you have to put it into perspective.

Oh yeah..... Woot for crazy old Marco Rubio... Unelectable was the word I believe.

Yeah, everyone is predicting between 50-60 seat gain for the Republicans in the House.

The Senate was going to be a tough road to hoe for Republicans as there are so few seats and those are state-wide elections. What I find interesting is the number of long-time democrats going down. Our local House Rep Alan Boyd (D) for example. Been in since 1996, sr. member of the House Ways and Means cmte, ousted by a first-timer in Steve Southerland...lots more examples like this. Wild night for sure.

The Rand Paul win surprised me...we'll see how long that party lasts...

Also, the WV Dem win is interesting 'cause many are predicting that Manchin will vote with the Republicans to repeal the healthcare bill.

Fascinating stuff for sure.

To put it in perspective, the so-called "Republican Revolution" of 1994 was a 53 seat swing...
