Exploiting Veteran's Day to make money

CNN.com - Breaking News, U.S., World, Weather, Entertainment & Video News

Car dealer claims soldiers fight and die for someone's right to own a gun.

I like the Vet's response towards the end if the video.

I think that it's funny that the vets' suggested alternative was flags. Why not donate the money to a veteran's fund instead of making more flags?

Because people dont buy thousand dollar products to donate money to a cause. They want to get something out of it that they can think was free. Just like the ad i saw the other day buy a matress for 2 grand get a 50 in flat screen. His reasoning is sound to a point but my personal opinion is a rifle that has something to do with hunting (seeing as thats his stand point) would be a better idea.

It has nothing to do with the promotion but that he cites Veteran's Day as a reason to give away guns. Seems kinda cheap to me.

I don't think that that's true. If the offer was, "$500 cash back, or $750 to your veteran's charity of choice," I think that you'd see a lot of business, and many would choose the $750, and they'd probably get less flack for cashing in on Veteran's day.

I think you would be disappointed when the results came in.

Anybody notice the irony that he is handing weapons that are identical to the ones most often used to shoot at our soldiers/veteran's? AK's? Why not AR's or like DG said, a hunting rifle?

that was my first thought, an AK is a nice gun but when exploiting a holiday for veterans, the enemies gun might not be a good idea...
