I agree with it for medical use, but no, I don't agree with using prescription drugs as a backdoor for recreational use, and the "every system is broken, so why not add another" excuse isn't really good enough. If this were a few users gaming the system, then that would be one thing, but it seems like the distributors and the doctors are in on it too in a systematized way. Hell, the fact that you get to pick out varieties by their street names highlights how much of a joke it is. If there's a case to be made for legalizing it, then do it, above the level. If you can't do that, then you need to make a stronger case. Loopholes are for crooks.

I personally would not take MJ if it was prescribed to me, but that's because I've heard horror stories about it interacting badly with other meds. For most people who aren't heavily medicated like I am, I can see it being a valid tool.
