Prop 203 Passes: Medical MJ
I thought it had been shot down by like 10k votes, but I was mistaken. They recounted everything and that truly is a tiny margin that it passed by.
Final vote tallies showed that Prop 203 won by a tiny margin of just 4,341 votes out of more than 1.67 million votes counted.
Wait, were you saying something Kraker?
Like I said, it's not a question of IF but more a question of WHEN.

This is a good thing. Even if you are opposed to recreational use, how can you oppose taking a tool out of a doctor's toolbox?
MJ is an excellent pain killer that can often be useful because it is usually burned and inhaled as opposed to ingested or injected.
Additionally, no overdosing is possible and its side effect of increased hunger can be useful in patients who are suffering from lack of appetite.
I am not saying it is a wonder drug or even that it should be commonly prescribed. I am just saying that it has its uses and keeping doctors from prescribing this is kind of silly in light of some of the things they can prescribe.Sleep, eat, conquer, meditate, repeat.

I'm actually opposed to medical marijuana as it's currently used - as a loophole to legalizing it. Of the admittedly limited sample of medical marijuana users that I've known, none were using it for real medical issues, all were using medical issues as an excuse to get legal weed. I fully support legalizing it, but loopholes don't do anything to legitimize it, and using loopholes in general is a shady practice that I don't support.

Re: Prop 203 Passes: Medical MJ
Our society is so fucked up... We can preach on how bad DRUGS are all day long, but we don't think twice about the dozen drugstores down the road on every corner. Doctors are quick to prescribe the latest and greatest (which that pharm. companies are quick to report positive results on) and the drug companies tighten their grasp ever stronger...
