BBC News - US planning pay freeze for government workers
President Obama has proposed a two-year pay freeze for federal government workers as part of efforts to reduce the US budget deficit.

Doesn't really specify what jobs.... Maybe it's part of his stimulous plan that was spent and he is trying to redact some of it.

I think this is pointless. It does nothing to reduce the deficit and attacking workers for the deficit is ridiculous.

I heard this will save $2 Billion.

Any money saved is a good thing, and I think most folks would rather have a pay freeze than a pink slip

How much do you imagine Congressional pay costs us? If you lower the pay that these important positions hold, how do you expect to attract qualified candidates?
