    Man poses as hero

"Dylan Sorvino" employed to "meet" several women on Facebook. Instead of filling out his profile with information about himself, Sorvino assumed the identity of Sgt. Roberto Sanchez (pictured), a 24-year-old Army Ranger who, in 2009, was killed in Afghanistan after five tours of duty. (Sanchez was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart.) The impostor collected photos of the soldier to use as profile pictures, and even advertised himself as a chiseled guy that grew up in New York, studied law, and joined the Army to fight for his country in Afghanistan and Iraq."

Really? Are you that big of a fucking loser that you have to do shit like this? I know of another where a guy is posing as a gunny in the corps. Some of my buddies are all over that one to the point they have found his actual address and have reported him to the corps and fbi. Which is better then going over and catching a charge with him. People are retarded.

While the act of a low-down dirty douche nozzle that deserves nothing but loneliness for the rest of his life, it is not illegal to make such claims or falsely represent oneself as a military servicemember or veteran. The Stolen Valor Act, the law that would make such claims illegal, was ruled unconstitutional by federal judges in two separate cases in 2010. The judges ruled that the First Amendment covers the making of untrue statements, up to and including lying about one's military service.

People like this who abuse that freedom, though, are the worst of the worst. A very good case for "just because you can, doesn't mean you should".

Simple solution, just go to his house, beat his ass, then say you are some dead drill sergeant. No offense to the dead intended.

I definitely agree with your solution but the pc bandits would be all over your ass for doing so.

    I second this.

There are many that steal honor. I think Pat Dennehy had stolen some honor as well.
