Teacher Fired Over Beer Photo

[I'm probably an unfamiliar face as I've been on a multi-month gaming break, but I used to play here fairly often]

In my opinion, what I do to my own body, as long as it does not affect others, is my business. You have no right telling me what I can or can't do to myself. As soon as I affect other non-consenting adults though... then you can tell me what I'm doing is wrong.

That being said, if you have a facebook, you should have it set on private. Or have two - one of my friends has a "work" profile that shows up perfectly clean, and a "friends" profile that has more shenanigan-themed things. Of course... you shouldn't let shenanigan-sy pictures get onto the internet anyways. I have a shenanigans camera specifically for that reason. If someone wants to take a picture of me with some form of drug (alcohol is a drug IMO) then they have to use my camera - that way I know who has the picture, and I know for a fact that it won't end up on the internet.

I see hot blondes here holding beers every day. I love Europe

But none of them ever get fired for it it seems. Like I said, we Americans, as a whole, are just stupid about these things. A principal with any backbone, having seen that photo, would have told the "concerned parent" to fuck off. I think maybe there is more to the story, like they were looking for a reason to get rid of her.
