But steroid users are probably the safest drug users on earth. Look at any weightlifting forum with a steroid section and you'll see what I am talking about. No broscience there, just scientific facts and safety first (as safe as you can use the drug anyways.) Abuse does happen, but there is little benefit to it. The way steroids are treated now are fine now anyways, I'd hate to see rich parents filling there kids with steroids because they have access to them.

But I do think steroids should be used more often as a treatment for chronic pain rather than surgery or addictive pain medicine like Oxycontin being pushed by pharmacy companies. I'm positive many athletes take steroids mostly for the ability to recover quicker after an injury. Modern day steroids do not have the negative effects that the early athletes and body builders took and are much less dangerous. Not to mention the Soviet and American Olympic programs had experimented this for years...

Steroids are terrible on your body, messes up your kidneys, your heart, your attitude, your metabolizm and I can go on and on. It also, is bad on the bones, because everything gets weaker, when you come off of them. They are bad bad bad for people.

So is booze, but I seem to recall you drinking at the meetups. Also, if you actually go read some scientific research there are stacks you can take that are no more harmful than Advil.

I think there was a steroid my psychopharmacologist was considering putting me on...he liked trying to tweak my brain chemistry though. That being said, he wouldn't have put me on it if there was a high likelihood of bad side effects.

I dont know if i would say that. Many doctors (cant speak for yours) have no issue putting people on meds that do more harm then good. VA is a good example of that.

The question was not "are steroids good for you?" it was "should steroids be legal?"

The difference between those questions is fundamental.
