Re: TSA in denial?
Why would that be? Let me think for a second on that.
Yeah it would be because the only things that are discussed in here are issues. Now i wonder why that would be. Wai t i got it because the things that are good dont really need to be debated now do they? I guess another one would be if most people think its a good thing the thread would be less then a page long. How about that. Who would have thought items people dont agree on make for better conversation on a forum? Pull your head out of your ass.

depends on what he does with his airline. Airlines can be waivered from TSA screening if they operate under certain parts of the FARs. Furthermore the TSA has jurisdiction over airport security, not airlines themselves (and the only reason why airlines have to put up with it is because they operate out of the TSA controlled airports) . That's why your local GA airfield probably has no TSA presence because they have been waivered, but you can still operate charter flights and so forth out of them without requiring screening (the only real legal security directive for actual airline cert holders is to reject people on the no-fly lists, for the most part). The combination of these two things is why the PDX business terminal has no TSA presence - you get to get out of TSA requirements if your facility has predominantly operations under part 135 instead of 121.
