My only point was that I don't find him funny. I find him mean spirited and obnoxious and if he was being that kind of a self-righteous prick in a bar I would probably punch him in the face.

You dont have to like someone or find them funny to see that some of what he said is true. As for his style Andrew Dice Clay is way more obnoxious and mean spirited then this guy even try to be and he's funny as hell. You also have to remember its an act in an effort to make a living.

Totally true. I wasn't responding to the validity of his points or soundness of his logic. I was only speaking of his skill at being funny or likable. If I were to start deconstructing his points I would just get "he's only a comedian!" back and me and it would have been a lot of work for nothing.

If there were some objective measure of that I'd take that bet. But you're asking me to watch and re-watch a comedian I don't like and deconstruct his analysis, and for what? To provide a more interesting discussion? My intellectual rigor on Internet forums only extends so far. I have a job.

My only assertion is that he is bitter and anger-provoking, and therefore not funny. That's it.
