Hague fury as 'Iranian arms' bound for Taliban seized
BBC News - Hague fury as 'Iranian arms' bound for Taliban seized
The foreign secretary has condemned Tehran's "completely unacceptable" behaviour after British Special Forces seized a shipment of suspected Iranian arms intended for the Taliban.
"I am extremely concerned by the latest evidence that Iran continues to supply the Taliban with weaponry - weapons clearly intended to provide the Taliban with the capability to kill Afghan and Isaf [International Security Assistance Force] soldiers from significant range."

'NATO seizes Iranian arms smuggling en route to Taliban'
an alternative link that provided pictures and a little more information. Better coverage in my opinion.

Supplying weapons to the insurgency? Only Iran would ever do something like that in Afghanistan!
And yes, just so you don't blow a gasket, I do think it is wrong for Iran to supply weapons to the Taliban just like it was wrong for the U.S. to funnel weapons to the Mujahideen. The fact is all the big countries give weapons to the people they think are on, or can help, "their" side, and it is not just limited to Iran. There are reports right now that Egypt is giving weapons to the Libyan rebels and that the U.S. is looking into it, too.
