    Boeing Moving Headquarters to Chicago
Yeah, never said that there weren't incentives, only our tax system is somewhat larger than Houston's. BTW, that heliport was already in existence...... Nice trying to misrepresent what I said, but my statement still stands, the tax rates are higher in Chicago than in Houston, especially when you include the state taxes, yet Boeing still chose to pay more in taxes and fees to be headquartered here than another city with lower accumulative tax rates. LOL @ you trying to debunk something that makes your point completely irrelevant.

Actually it was Dallas, but who is counting. My point being while taxes, and tax breaks, are not the only reason they are a LARGE reason. We can try to pretend that companies will nobly pay more just because they want that city to thrive, but do you really believe that?

Fine Dallas. But your point wasn't that "tax breaks, are not the only reason they are a LARGE reason", they didn't specify a maybe or a compatriot, your example specifically offered one of two choices, "jobs or a higher tax rate". No maybe in the quote.

Thanks for at least reading half of my post. So let me ask you this, using Boeing as our example do you think some of their former corporate employees in Seattle would have voted for more corporate tax breaks if it would have kept the jobs and operations there? Now that Boeing is gone they have lost 100% of the taxes they would have earned, not just some, they lost jobs and the taxes those employees would have paid, and odds are expenses were not drastically affected, so those left behind will have to pay even more taxes if they hope to break even on their city and state budgets. Yes, tax breaks for corporations are bad, and kill the economy.
