Re: Glenn Beck's fox show to be "axed"
I didn't mean to imply that you (White) specifically were "left wing". Maybe you are, maybe you aren't, but labeling you was not my intention.
Otherwise....I pretty much agree. But there are nut-cases on both sides. I really don't find the extreme right any scarier than the extreme left. They are cut from the same cloth.

Re: Glenn Beck's fox show to be "axed"
Man, you are right. Comedic gold. It's sad that anyone actually takes this nutjob seriously. I honestly don't know if he is just a crazy, tin-foil hat conspiracy theory whackjob or if he uses his crazy consciously to try and sell the shit he endorses. Probably a combination of the two. A sucker is born every minute...
What's with the dick-measuring contest? Who cares how many viewers he has? Does that make him more correct orany less of a nutjob? It seems to me, that since his on the right, albeit the extreme side, you feel an innate need to defend him and somehow work in a jab at the left.

LOL.
Show me where I defended him......was it the part I said he was a whack job? I certainly don't listen to him, and I certainly would never defend him.
Be careful when you start pointing at people, Fov. There are always three fingers pointing back at yourself. In fact, this sounds more like you are describing yourself ,only reversed:
"you feel an innate need to defend him and somehow work in a jab at the left."

Glenn Beck is the Al Sharpton of the right. Like Sharpton, he's a Charlatan, drumming up fear and anger in stupid people (present company excluded, of course). Also like Sharpton, he hasn't been relevant for some time. I haven't heard his name mentioned since he threw that convention a while back. One difference is that Sharpton never thought to capitalize on fear and stupidity like Glenn did with the Gold companies.

Re: Glenn Beck's fox show to be "axed"
Well, then why bring up ratings, as if it has anything to do with this? It doesn't matter if his ratings are high or low, that has no bearing on whether he is a whackjob or not. Maybe "defend" wasn't the right word, but that doesn't explain the need to bring up ratings and "influence" as if it has a bearing on anything he says or does. And I have not said anything about the right at all in this thread.

Also, he's full of shit. Constantly, and extremely full of shit. http://politifact.com/personalities/...ck/statements/

+1
And ffs.....calm down Fov. This is exactly the reason I told you to be careful when pointing fingers. You can't even take a simple observation as just that....an observation, without twisting it in your melon as some sort of support or defense. I simply stated that he has a shit-ton of listeners....followers....customers....whatever, and that I bet the left side of the extremists would fall over themselves to have something or someone comparable....but they don't.
