Killing someone because we all know he's guilty is the mentality of a lynch mob. I think Kraker's question was legit. The legal basis under which a US president can order the death of a foreign national is fuzzy to non-existent. Just because it happened to someone we all don't like has no bearing on the issue.

I get that, but this isn't like a lynch mob, this is not one, two, but multiple countries who want this man dead or alive for the things he has done. You can question it if you want, but we weren't going after this man without reason. Osama got what he deserved, that's really all I can say.

No it isnt. A lynch mob mentality is everyone grabing whatever weapon they have out of anger and going at the person. We did not do that. We sent the military in as a world police force to bring him to justice and it did not matter if it took killing him to do it. Its not like we were even remotely close to the only ones that wanted his ass. This is much more like sending in cops to remove the threat from a hostile situation and a swat team member puts a bullet in his head. Both equally legal and a legit means to bring the situation to an end.
