Another Vaccine Autism Study...
Was looking up some information on another thread and came across this:
New study claims 83 autism cases caused by vaccinations - ksl.com
I remember reading that even if vaccines were causing autism at the highest rate claimed, it would still be safer to take vaccines than risk the illnesses.
I am not buying this is going to result in any scientific evidence driven conclusion that vaccines can cause autism. But interesting if you have been following what happened with that Wakefield asshole.

I don't buy the vaccine thing, its been mentioned before (not sure how many studies on it) that there isn't credible evidence of it. Further, I think autism is considered mostly genetic disease (hate using disease). While no scientist, I'm pretty sure a vaccine couldn't change someone genetic makeup (at least so far).
The article was interesting, though I don't really agree with the results, and the site cited (sound weird =P) seems pretty shady:
Welcome to The Age of Autism, the nation's first daily Web newspaper for the environmental-biomedical community – those who believe autism is an environmentally induced illness, that it is treatable, and that children can recover.

Re: Another Vaccine Autism Study...
From what i've read its a highly debated topic. Personally i think its like everything else. If your putting something in your body that wasn't meant to be there odds are its not really good for you. Of course you have to weigh both sides of it when you have a kid or its time to take that shot. Personally i've been given enough injections under it will help you from getting _______. So yeah no more damn flu shots for me. Fucking military hacks with needles can really give you a new appreciation for real doctors.

While I agree a television show (Albeit a very good one) is not the right place to get all your information from. In this case they make a very good point. But they also fail to mention the REAL reason why this whole "don't vaccinate" craze is so dangerous: Herd Immunity.

They actually bring on MDs and experts for the show, from both sides of the argument. So its not just a couple of magicians dealing out medical advice. Although I am a HUGE fan of Penn Jillette. He is the one person that comes closest to having the same set of ideals as I do.
