LOL yeah dont bother. I have an accountant do mine so i wouldn't be able to have an intelligent conversation with you on it to begin with. When it comes to taxes im in the pop up book so i let others deal with that bullshit.

Your example was fine. there's certainly a marriage tax break. I also see a huge savings by filing jointly vs. if my wife and I were to file as two single people. I think that in general, if the two incomes are very unequal, then you'll see a benefit to filing jointly.
