    The witchtrials predate the US, and even if they didn't, as you said, they're not occurring currently, and they're veiwed as backwards and wrong.

    I was talking about the premise of mocking an entire country based on one silly judge's baseless ruling, when there are ridiculous outcomes of trials here in the states all the time.

    We lock Iran all the time when they do things like sentence women to death for being raped. We judge China when their judges charge people for speaking against the government. I think that it's perfectly acceptable to judge a country by the legal system that they support. This judge represents his government, and if his ruling stands, then his government is supporting him. If this judge is fired for this sentence, I'll stop judging Israel on his ruling.
