TSA yet again doing us proud.
"TSA security officers at Florida's Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport patted down a cancer-stricken, 95-year-old woman and forcibly removed her adult diaper during the search"
"In response to the incident, the TSA said on Sunday that "While every person and item must be screened before entering the secure boarding area, TSA works with passengers to resolve security alarms in a respectful and sensitive manner. We have reviewed the circumstances involving this screening and determined that our officers acted professionally and according to proper procedure."

Not to worry. Soon the TSA will get their collective bargaining rights and become unionized. When that becomes a reality, situations like this will be less common.
Decisions will need to be made before action can be taken. They will need to get the union shop steward to decide who's job it is to lift her out of the chair, who will undress her, who will remove the undergarments, and will the EPA need to be involved if the adult diaper is soiled (hazardous waste issues). Only then will the highly trained scanner operator be allowed to perform their job.
As for the long wait while the process goes forward, and dealing with angry passengers.... in the famous words of the deceased comic Freddie Prince "That's not my job!"Last edited by RagunCajun; 06-27-11 at 10:13 AM.
