Re: End Hispanic/Black History Month
Firstly, Morgan Freeman is a very cool dude, love him.
Secondly, I'm so damn sick of race. Isn't it odd how obbsessed most humans seem to be with race? Why is it SUCH a big deal to us? If it's not one extreme it's the other. Some people hate others for their race, some want to give handouts and benefits only to certain races, some want to make racism illegal, some want to redefine racism. Tolerance seminars, history months, propaganda, TV specials, Black Panthers, KKK, Nazi's, La Raza, Aryan Brotherhood, on and on and on and ON.
Why do people feel it necessary to devote SO much time, effort and attention to something as insignificant as race? And I don't just mean racists, I mean so called "anti-racists" too. We try to ban and censor and focus and force racial tolerance into our society, but in the end isn't all this overblown focus on race the real problem? What do you suppose our children think when we say "We're all the same, race doesn't matter." Then turn around and devote SO MUCH attention to race.
Stop giving it so much attention for fucks sake. Stop these history months, stop affirmative action, stop giving news coverage to racial issues, just STOP. I swear I don't want to hear another fucking news story about some guy getting pissed about some perceived racial slight, or some guys chanting the racial slurs on city hall steps.
Honestly, we're all people. To be judged as individuals. Race is only an important issue when we empower it thus. On it's own it's barely even a defined term, and yet we give it so much attention that it draws power from our constant worry.
I have always believed and continue to believe this: We will only end racism once we stop acknowledging race.

Re: End Hispanic/Black History Month
Apparently its a month when everyone in America must recognize the history of my Heritage and millions of school children are asked to write essays on only Hispanic figures in America. Yea that's right they teach us that race means nothing and that were all equal but then turn around and say you must do your a essay on only Hispanic people. This will undoubtedly end racism in America /sarcasm
