Re: Casey Anthony Trial
People are Too emotional about this case ! First the State did not PROVE beyond a reasonable even How Caylee died much less Who did it ! If anyone recalls you are Innocent until Proven Guilty ! The System didn't Fail it actually Worked ! Don't get me wrong Casey is by NO means Innocent but the state never fulfilled the Burden of Proof for Murder 1 or Aggrivated Child Abuse either. Also IF Casey was black or hispanic with a 2 yr old this would never have gotten 10 minutes from the MEDIA ! The media was way too quick to Assasinate Casey for Ratings ie: MONEY ! Someone Knows how Caylee died but the State did not prove beyond a reasoable doubt.

Re: Casey Anthony Trial
If you can't figure out who is truly guilty, how the hell are you going to have any idea who or how many might or might not be saved? If I was going to collect the wisdom of the world, I can think of worse ways to start than by gathering everything to which you say "thats stupid to me".
Someone here already called out Benny F. This is also an interesting quote:
It is more important that innocence be protected than it is that guilt be punished, for guilt and crimes are so frequent in this world that they cannot all be punished. But if innocence itself is brought to the bar and condemned, perhaps to die, then the citizen will say, “whether I do good or whether I do evil is immaterial, for innocence itself is no protection,” and if such an idea as that were to take hold in the mind of the citizen that would be the end of security whatsoever.
I leave it unattributed. The words do a fair job of standing on their own. Those internets will help you if you want to know who said it.
Cheers,

Re: Casey Anthony Trial
After more review I've come to this conclusion:
1. I believe Casey Anthony was involved in the murder of her daughter, based upon the below evidence.
2. The mother was busted on the stand trying to cover up and say she did the search for "Chloroform" on the computer. Records indicate she had to be at work (time cards) during the time the search was done.
3. Traces of Chloroform were found in the trunk.
4. K9 Cadavor dogs confirmed a decaying human body was present in the trunk.
5. FBI testing confirmed a hair folicle with "banding" (a term used to describe the process a folicle undergoes after human death) matching that of Caylee's was found in the trunk.
6. Terms "Neck-breaking" and "Chloroform" found on Casey's computer.
7. Casey did not report her daugher missing for 30 + days.
8. Casey lied about a ficticious person kidnapping her daughter.
9. Casey lied about her daughter's where abouts after she went missing "Saying she was at Disney World"
10. The demeanor of Casey during the private jail phone calls with her parents being annoyed when her parents asked about Caylee.
11. The overall demeanor and web of lies by Casey.
Factors I believe why the case was lost by the prosocution:
1. With no actual cause of death, very hard to try and capital murder case. The prosecution would have likely had more success with a 2nd or 3rd degree murder/ manslaughter case.
2. Prosecution put all of their eggs in the murder charge basket and not enough in the manslaughter charge, giving the jury really no other option.
3. Credibility of prosecution star witness (mother) was damaged when caught claiming she performed the internet search for chloroform.
4. Should have made it known up front the entire family was disfunctional to the jury.
I still believe I would have had enough to charge her as jury member. Hopefully we will get some insight to their decision making process at some point in the near future if the do elect to interview.
I believe the legal system was an actual failure and I'll tell you why. Whether the blame falls on the prosecution, the process, the charges, the evidence or the jury there was plenty of evidence here that pointed to Casey to being more at fault than just lying to police. The lying is the cover up. Why did she lie? Why did she not report her daughter missing? Common sense says something is a miss. Whether the prosecution didn't do a good job of telling the story or the defense did a better job of convincing the jury a bad person gets away with a much lesser punishment than deserved. And for this, I believe the system failed.

Re: Casey Anthony Trial
We should have got Tommy Lee Jones on this case from day one.
We would have had every gas station, residence, warehouse, farmhouse, henhouse, outhouse and doghouse in that area search within 60 minutes.
All joking aside. She played a role direct or indirect role into her daughter's death. At least I have the personal satisfaction knowing where her own personal judgement day comes she will be going downstairs."And the hits just keep on coming." - Tom Cruise, A Few Good Men
