07-21-11, 03:10 PM #61So now you are claiming the government is the problem, since you claim they are the ones keeping the monopoly controlled by progress, yet your solution is to give control to the government? If that is the solution should we next hand over the legal system to inmates?
As for my head it is squarely on my shoulders. Now some people complain about walmart being too big and powerful, but when Sam started people told him it didn't work that way too. Same for Columbus falling off the earth, etc.

Lately it seems that you argue just for the sake of arguing.
What little control the gov has on the items that I listed is not a comparison to them controlling electricity from the way you presented it.
The more we prop up, support and pay for the more people will want. Once our voting base reaches the point of more takers than givers it is game over. I use to think you got that but lately it seems you do not.

Re: Should government control electricy?
Actually i thought we were discussing the topic at hand.
Im not saying give total control over everything to the government and i would never suggest that to begin with. I have as much distaste for the government as you do. My point is certain items make sense to put in the hands of the government. Which to me is the essentials. Of which you dont agree with and im perfectly fine with that but when someone turn around and tries to make it sound like im suggesting something on a much larger scale or completely off base with what i said of course im going to reply.

The Flat Earth Society is not in any way responsible for the failure of the French to repel the Germans at the Maginot Line during WWII. Nor is the Flat Earth Society responsible for the recent yeti sightings outside the Vatican, or for the unfortunate enslavement of the Nabisco Inc. factory employees by a rogue hamster insurrectionist group. Furthermore, we are not responsible for the loss of one or more of the following, which may possibly occur as the result of exposing one's self to the dogmatic and dangerously subversive statements made within: life, limb, vision, Francois Mitterand, hearing, taste, smell, touch, thumb, Aunt Mildred, citizenship, spleen, bedrock, cloves, I Love Lucy reruns, toaster, pine derby racer, toy duck, antelope, horseradish, prosthetic ankle, double-cheeseburger, tin foil, limestone, watermelon-scented air freshner, sanity, paprika, German to Pig Latin dictionary, dish towel, pet Chihuahua, pogo stick, Golf Digest subscription, floor tile, upper torso or halibut.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.
