Ready for another failed stimulus?
Obama May Ask for More Stimulus - By Andrew Stiles - The Corner - National Review Online
1st stimulus didn't work, why would this one? Right after raising the debt limit and all this talk about cutting down, he wants to borrow more money from China for another failed stimulus.
I seen the stimulus put to work here in my home town. The grass medians got filled in with cement. WTF was the point of that? Heaven forbid fix the 10,000 pot holes on the back roads around here. ANYWAY
Sure you will make some jobs. The jobs will last what? Maybe a month to three?
If you want to create jobs. Charge the hell out of products from over seas. If you charge them enough they will move back over here. The U.S. is the largest consumer of just about everything. If we don't buy then companys don't make money. Do away with some of the tax charged to companys that are in the US. Think about it, I can pay up to 35% tax on profit here in the USA or I can move to China,Mexico or India and they will only charge me 10 % and some countries even less.
Free Trade? huh WTF? What in the hell do we need from somewhere else? Everything we need is right here. Unless big Government gets in the way. Do away with free trade.
Obama said something today about Asain cars here in this country and he wants to make it so people over there drive Chevys & Fords etc... Why do we care what they drive over there? Not like we can compete with the prices of Asain made cars. You really think if we made cars for them that would make jobs here? Hell no, It would cost out the ass. They will build a plant over there. How many jobs does that create here? Not jack shit. Only reason he wants to do this is if the jobs stayed here it would keep the Union workers working.
This President is the one of the worst of all time. We can't keep spending and borrowing like this. Hey it's okay though we are going to cut defense. The whole fucking world hates us, that sounds like a great thing to do.
Get rid of Illegal Immigrants that cost the shit out of us. Do away with individual income tax, make a national sales tax on everything. Social Sercurity is the same as a ponzi scheme. Let people save their own damn money. I'm tired of the government wasting my money. I go to work pay taxes so that Joe Blow can sit on his ass and watch TV with his wife while his 12 kids outside playing instead of being in school. Why would Joe work if the Government gives him and his family spending cash, housing, health care?
Sorry to rant but I wish this President (DUMB ASS) would stay on vacation, at least he can't spend anymore money and drive us further down in the dirt.Last edited by ~BigTymer~; 08-18-11 at 01:25 AM.

Re: Ready for another failed stimulus?
Taxing imports would be a good way to increase general funds, In fact that is the ace we hold up our sleeve.
Think about it for one second. We are the greatest GDP of any nation. -- Add to that most economies are completely dependent and almost chained by our consumer driven economy -- tax imports. Drops cost, drops profit/competition, maybe we can go back to being a true prefab in the USA. And stop telling me we don't have the resources. We have more resource and influence than any other nation. China is still working on being a consumer. (believe it or not, the numbers speak. We consume ALOT, for our populous. We are pigs, it's awesome). Stop denying our buying power and continue to take advantage of it. It is all we have at this point.
Edit: if my post seems ambiguous think on it. We have money we buy. We buy we create business we expand. United States continue to control a great deal more than we are willing to admit. Promote the right assets and education to utilize it there is not stopping the machine we started -- many many years ago.Last edited by GReYVee; 08-18-11 at 01:37 AM.

Re: Ready for another failed stimulus?
I'm not really into politics, let alone American, for personal reasons. A lot of it is because I think politicians fuck us over too much and then again because we have to pay for their screw up, I don't feel that warants a vote from myself. But if that is true about Obama wanting other countries to buy American made cars... its pretty dumb. North american car companys design cars for driving on our kinds of roads and with the north american consumer in mind. There aren't many imports that are like Escalades/Camaros/Rams. I'm starting to see more imports on roads here in Canada that are tiny in comparison to the north american norm. Fiat recently had a bit of publicity when they launched their little 500's onto the market. I'm not sure where they're manufactured but the point is that Obama's idea is ass backwards, unless the auto manufacturer's start designing tiny little cars I highly doubt other countrys would want a typical American car (no offense). A slight trend is building with NA auto manufacturers with making smaller and more efficient cars, but it seems slow going. If there were any one piece of advice I could give Obama, or the NA auto industry, it would be to put a lot of development into designing new batteries that are smaller but can hold a lot of electricity. Gas won't last forever, why not lead the world into a new auto era. Battery technology is the ONLY thing holding us back. Would you rather spend $50+ on gas and get 50+/- MPG, or plug your car in and spend around $5+/- to drive you around for the day? The auto/oil industry is world wide. If the US led the way with electric cars well guess what, the whole world is the marketplace for which you are supplying your products, thats a lot of money.

Sound theroy all the way up to when electricy prices sky rocket for the needs petro products to run the facilities after the oil companies raise the prices due to an electric based auto industry. It takes more then just electric cars to make a true impact. Develope solar to run those cars battieries and you might and i stress might make a dent.

LOL i think your reaching at straws. You want to open up turbines when a tornado passes. Have you ever seen a tornado and what it does to everything it touches? Its a marvelous thing to watch truely awe inspiring the amount of devestation that thing can do. So now you want to add projectiles to the party?
