Re: Ron Paul Up in the Polls
Oh, Republicans are conservatives. Neoconservatives, mainly, but conservatives nonetheless. The reason the Republican establishment doesn't like him is because he comes off as a bit batty. I mean, he is constantly going on about the Federal Reserve like a Truther goes on about 9/11 and he is a perennial fringe candidate.
He is, essentially, an isolationist Republican.

So you're saying he's using his tongue to try and get elected? Hmm, that sounds like someone very familiar....Obama, perhaps? Obama lacked experience, was wishy washy on policies he voted for and when he got into office he couldn't deliver. All he had were words and a voice that made Americans believe. I admire him for taking on a tough situation, but when you don't deliver on really anything you said you were, it doesn't shine a good light on you.

Re: Ron Paul Up in the Polls
And what does Obama being a politician have to do with Ron Paul being a politician? A few people here complained about "Obama worship" going on, but nothing I've seen comes close to "Ron Paul worship." He is a typical politician, and you have to remember that. He isn't some magical savior of our government. If he got elected, I'd bet people would become far more disillusioned with him than with Obama.

meh, rather him then Bachmann or Perry (not Parry though), plus if he somehow won it, he'd never get through the general alive (and most of the republicans scare me more then Obama, even if Obama seems like he should be running in their Primary and the not the Democrats one).
