DOJ files suit against AT&T - T-Mobile merger
http://gizmodo.com/5836158/us-gov-su...obile-takeover
DOJ has officially stated that they are against the merger citing anti-trust laws.
Now I am not sure how I feel about it. I was planning on switching to T-Mobile once I get my new plan, first for the price, and secondly AT&T was saying that T-Mobile would operate separately for a period while everything was merged. I liked this because I would have kept my low price plan, had decent 4G coverage and my service area would have been awesome between the two networks (if that's how it works, but I don't know a whole lot about this shit).
On the other hand, T and Sprint are the two smaller, but low cost providers and once AT&T fully absorbed T-Mobile I'm sure that the prices would be worse than before with the lack of competition.
Alright I'm going to stop debating with myself now.

Re: DOJ files suit against AT&T - T-Mobile merger
I have had T-Mo for 8ish years. Have really enjoyed it the whole time. We have a family plan with 1500 min for 4 smart phones with unlimited text and data, and also a VOIP home home for $150 a month. Of course that plan isn't available anymore. Worried what happens to our plan if AT&T takes over.
I HATE AT&T with a passion. I am dreading the merger. Left their home phone in the 90s swore i would never do business with them again. So far so good
