"help with finding right leaning news source",....there's your problem. Judging from your previous posts you seem to be an intelligent person, why would you want a news source that is biased? Find a news source that reports just the facts and generate your own ideas.
It doesn't make sense why would you want to seek biased news?

Re: help with finding right leaning news source that is not bat shit crazy
If I had to guess, it's because one that slants to the right might consider different things to be news-worthy than one that tries to focus on both sides....if for no other reason than most news programs have a limited amount of time to report stuff. So a news program that slants to his side of the fence is more likely to use their time reporting about things he is interested in.
Personally, I just get so bloody tired of the news period when it comes to politics, because each side spends 75% of it's time attacking the other side rather than just getting things done. They squabble like fucking children, and thinking about how they're supposedly the people best suited to running everything makes me sick. Entire bloody political system needs a complete revamping of the process.

I never got that impression; but the fact that you have a different take on The Economist than I do makes me like it (and maybe you too) all the more.
I wouldn't characterize their editorial stance as right-leaning. I think of it as pragmatic humanism.
Printed inside every issue:
The Economist was 'First published in September 1843 to take part in "a severe contest between intelligence, which presses forward, and an unworthy, timid ignorance obstructing our progress".
From their About page:
The Economist considers itself the enemy of privilege, pomposity and predictability.
They're not infected with the disease I've come to call "Binary Thinking" which forces everything into a right/left world. All issues are not two sided. Some are one sided. Some have lots of sides, or none at all. Some are two sided, but not left/right. Presenting everything as right/left does more than push us to think only in left/right terms. It forces every discussion to be idiotic. It frames every issue as an us/them choice; and turns our countrymen with whom we disagree into enemies who must be defeated.
They're not everyone's cup of tea; but it's pretty good tea.
Also, when one of my heroes died, they published a nice obit.

Re: help with finding right leaning news source that is not bat shit crazy
There was another Christian paper I would go through, I'm visiting my folks so I can't check my BM's but I think it was the Christian Post. Well written articles, not afraid to point things out that are counter to popular American religious folks, about as close to a middle ground between liberal/conservative Christians as I have seen.
That's pretty much it. A liberal rag or blog is not likely going to report on instances when the state church separation impedes on an individual, which is rarer, but still of interest to me, then when groups try to religiousize the government. Same with any news that falls into the category of second amendment issues, when some Joe is prosecuted for shooting a bad guy on his property it will almost always only show up on right leaning news/opinion outlets.
Kind of an embarrassing example, I was googling to find a report done by one of the government health organizations that dealt solely with African American health conditions released in 2005ish. The search brought back a link that quoted from it, and had a link to the .gov page that had the results in pdf format. Followed the next link, got the file I was looking for and all was well. I did this from a government computer in my old aid station, turns out the page that linked the study was a white supremest blog of some kind. I was never in trouble or asked about it, but my commander told me about it a few weeks after he got the report and then the follow up that (paraphrase) “it was due to a bad redirect, your medical facility searching for health information was directed to a web page with racist content that contained a download link for a government health study” or something to that affect, he thought it was incredibly funny.
An example that sometimes people you might disagree with just might have the kind of information your really after. Trying to find a copy of the Taliban/al queda manifesto from a web sight that is not questionable is like running with scissors.
Thanks for the input, when I get home tonight or tomorrow I'll need to add some more BM's.
