Re: So, terrorists?
That info is pretty close to everything i have read on the subject. The most noticable difference i see is it specifies a dc-8 where what i read previously said dc-10. Both planes are similar but the dc-8 comes in a hair smaller in size with a fairly noticable difference in weight. Overall i would agree that the page is accurate due to any information can have minor flaws in it.

Re: So, terrorists?
Thats what they are saying. I only guessed earlier on whether it was taken into account for the fuel fires because up to that page i never saw anyone discuss that part of the equation. I would have to disagree with that part of their intel.
Jet fuel burns in a certain range of temps. However it would be almost impossible to predict how a building would react when a fire is set using an undetermined amount of jet fuel with an undetermined amount of fuel sources inside a building. Like i said earlier the jet fuel is part one of napalm and most furniture contains a form of the second part. All you need is the last ingredent in the area and poof you have a 3000 degree fire. That is capable of melting steel and degrading hydralic concrete.

Re: So, terrorists?
Ok with these models ran in the 60's regarding the impact of jetliners on the building there are a few things you have to remember with them. In each scenario run under the model the assumption was that the jetliners would be impacting the buildings dead center on any face of the building. So they would be impacting 2 floors at most. They also did the fire simulations assuming none of the interior columns on the building would be taken out, or structurally damaged. The last assumption in each model was that they never factored in completely filled offices with furniture, filing cabinets, carpet, etc...all things adding to the intensity of the fires. Now factor in an off center impact on one of the towers (tower 2), a slightly off center impact (tower 1), destruction of interior columns (both towers) and fully equipped offices with a near unlimited supply of fuel for the fire (both towers) and you have the perfect storm for what happened.

Re: So, terrorists?
I was reffering to when the building was being designed and constructed. Im sure they could get a pretty close estimate of how much fuel was in the planes at the time of impact. You also have to consider they are getting their information from other books. That particular bit about the fire was from here.
