Re: Republicans Push for U.S. Role in Rebuilding Libya
Im tossed on this one. The global community should help rebuild its infrastructure. That would include us but infrastructure is where it should end. We have no need or requirement to rebuild the whole nation. That should be the role of the new government.

Don't worry, just wait until Obama comes out and says he wants to help rebuild Libya. All these same Republicans will start saying it's a terrible idea and a waste of money. They did the same thing in the run-up to the intervention.

Re: Republicans Push for U.S. Role in Rebuilding Libya
That's completely irrelevant, and none of that changes the fact that the Republicans now have came out and said the exact opposite of what Obama has said regarding foreign policy, even if they said the same damn thing a week ago. No amount of your deflecting or ignoring it is going to change that.

Re: Republicans Push for U.S. Role in Rebuilding Libya
That is their greatest motive for wanting to rebuild Libya....don't think for a second that they want to do it out of there kindness of their hearts or because they feel the need to help the Libyan people. And they don't charge cheap either, $80 dollar hammers at the expense of the American tax payer. I have been in a business environment literally all my life....working the cash register at the family business at the age of 8. I think having a business mentality has made it much easier for me to understand how the world really works. Very little happens in this world unless someone is making a profit off of it. And there's nothing wrong with that, the problem is that too often things are done for the sole reason of making a profit....regardless of whether or not it is in the best interest of the country.
