Re: Are people inherently stupid?
I dont remember ever going over the third item. Also im sorry but that isnt proof of anything. It just seems highly unlikely that the Corps would teach every marine thats goes thru both bootcamps every year for at least decades a piece of information that they are quized on relentlessly as a joke. It also seems highly unlikely that they would print it in their manual for every marine to have. I have my doubts that it may not be true but i have just as high of a doubt that the Corps would do that. However im not going to a base to climb a flag pole to find out the reality of it.

Re: Are people inherently stupid?
In a related story, a man was shot and killed while attempting to sneak into a local military base. Recent confession revealed the man bribed his way pasted MPs. However, while they insturcted him on the proper path onto the base, they failed to realize the 331st Howitzer artillery squadren was running live fire exercises that night. The path the man was directed happen to lead him directly across the firing range at the time of exercise.
