Re: Supreme Court Judge William Adams beats daughter (WARNING: GRAPHIC)
Hey, asshole...I'm refuting your dumb ass using your very own statements.
It's not my fault that you're too dimwitted to realize it.
You flat out said she deserved it, then asked me to point out where you said as such, as if you didn't say it....I do....yet, I'm the sad one.
I backed up what I said. So, how about you own the fuck up to your own statements, or shut the fuck up?

Being an 18 year old I personally believe spanking works to a point. You have to walk the fine line. And spanking I mean as on the but with your hand, not a fuckin belt. I got spanked as a kid and to say the least I didn't do a damn thing wrong in middle school or high school after a shitty decision or two. I stopped getting spanked somewhere around 12 I think, I truly don't remember. So in my opinion it is a very effective tool if used properly! This dude though went WAAAYY too fucking far!

Re: Supreme Court Judge William Adams beats daughter (WARNING: GRAPHIC)
oh dear god, some damn ignorant people be blabbing in here.
Its not "is physical punishment effective", its "affects of chronic physical abuse" AKA violence.
The effectiveness of punishment (physical or mental), depends on the individual and their age/maturity, its about fearing the consequences and thus avoiding the would-be-punished decision because you feared the consequences.
There is a difference between fearing punishment, and feeling it. Hell i could make a damn strong, peer agreed and statistically backed argument that the effectiveness of punishment becomes moot the second the punishment / abuse becomes chronic.
Addionally you even have to question the worst case senario for individuals whom have become desynthesized to violence (and no, video games do not desynthesized to violence as much as most think they do, if you want to see what i mean, *AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION* go to 4gifs and look at the violence/gore section, bet youll wont make it more than 2-3 images. *I warn you though, its beyond graphic and most definitely mentally harmful*) as a result of chronic physical abuse. For example if you chronically, physically abuse a child and they become desynthesized to physical violence, what do you think helps lead to some of the most monstrous serial killers?
Furthermore, spanking once is one thing and arguably effective PRIMARILY depending on the individual AND AGE/maturity, but that man is beating that child, BEATING. Do not dare try and say that spanking and what that man is doing in the video are the same.
If you chronically physically punish, its not fear your making, its anger, A LOT of anger at that. Violence, only begets violence.
If you want effective punishment, you need to make fear, there's a hell of a long list of things you can do before you should even consider resorting to violence. Hell IMO the fact that people even resort to it is disturbing in-of-itself.
If you feel the need to retort, save everyone's time and keep it scholarly, cite peer reviewed studies which you have read and interpreted, not just crap you found googling.Last edited by Bunni; 11-07-11 at 03:06 PM. Reason: grammar

You backed nothing and you proved nothing other then you did not read the posts in their entirety. I however did give my own quotes for what i said and even broke one you questioned into segments. If you have another question about something i said feel free to ask but implying i said something i didnt and getting pissed off because i proved you wrong does nothing. Oh and this isnt hee haw or bonanza. So im not a hoss.

Re: Supreme Court Judge William Adams beats daughter (WARNING: GRAPHIC)
Oh, I think I've proven a great deal. That even when your own statements are force-fed back to you like an infant, you spit them out, screaming "No...no!!...I didn't say THAT!!"
You didn't prove me wrong, and I didn't get pissed off because of it. I got pissed off because you told me to back up my claims, or shut the fuck up. Guess what, buddy? I've been doing that EVERY TIME in this topic. You think you can swing your dick around here and tell me to shut the fuck up, and I will step in line because you think your some big tough Marine? That ain't happening....sorry.
You've done so much back peddling in this thread, it's unbelievable. I'm surprised that your legs aren't bleeding from the stress.
Pick a fucking side and stick to it. Stop being a pussy and trying to play both sides.
You can't say "Well he went a little too far."....because in the video, the "too far" happens almost IMMEDIATELY.
Corrective discipline isn't violence. Violence is violence. It is what it is. What this man did is wrong...from the get go....not four minutes into the video, not five, or six ....from the get go. If you truly can't see that, and see that you've already stated numerous times in this topic that you think that she deserved a beating...then, I'm sorry, you're still blind. Actually, you're worse...you're like a blind man continually bumping into a lightpost, all the while, screaming at the top of your lungs, "IT'S OK...IT'S OK...I CAN SEE FINE!"
I also find it funny that you're agreeing with Bunni, when he's saying what most of us have been saying throughout this entire thread.
Aren't you getting tired of jumping back and forth over that fence? Keep flip-flopping.
In closing, I'll leave this here, I don't know if it's been posted yet or not:
Hmmm...looks like your high and mighty, innocent until proven guilty judge, just might have had (or still has) a drug addiction. Although, they don't say what.
If it's true, chemically tainted "discipline" is always a good thing, right?

There was good discussion in this thread, but I'm closing this before it descends.
To be clear, Guyver, you were letting your emotions take over your argument, which was what was degenerating the topic. You had some good points but you were fucking up your message with the trolling.Last edited by DJ Ms. White; 11-07-11 at 08:56 PM.
