    The White House has decided to sideline a proposed fee onChristmas trees, after the fee was ridiculed by critics as a tax on Christmas.

    Oh please. It's like you're trolling yourself for outrage. There's enough crazy shit to fuel nightmares, or drama forums, without this link-bait posing as news.

    This is an industry initiative through the USDA. A business group came up with the idea. There are many similar programs in other industries. Even Fox News put the word Tax in quotes!

    While the White House is certainly in a position to call up the USDA and say "Hey, knock that shit of", I seriously doubt that anyone in the White House took any meetings to discuss a "Christmas Tree Tax".

    If you buy a Christmas tree this year I think you should be required to donate 15 cents to The Center For Responsible Drama - the domain name for which I'll be looking to register later this week.
