So, the newest brouhaha is over the United State's ambassador to Belgium, who, at an address in Belgium, noted that traditional anti-Semitism and Muslim angst against Israel over the Palestinian conflict should be considered two different things. I agree with that. I will also note that the ambassador is Jewish, and his father was a holocaust survivor.

Re: Republicans united
The statements while all well intentioned are just not a true picture of the middle east. The "Arab Spring" is being led by the Muslim Brotherhood who are the furthest thing from being a moderate group at the moon is from the earth. All I see on the horizon is more insecurity for Israel and the middle east as a whole. I think with the rise of such radicalism in the area a "peace plan" in the middle east is completely off the table and renewed violence is going to increase. I for one think everyone was suckered into thinking that the "arab spring" was being initiated by a group of "new" founding fathers. Anti Semitism is on the rise everywhere this arab spring has taken hold and will only increase. In Egypt they are talking about dumping the Camp David accord that was set up in 1979. I don't see any good coming in the middle east.
