I don't think it is anything you can draw a real conclusion about, but from a study done it suggests that by legalizing gay marriage, it makes gay men "healthier." Supposedly there was less cases of high blood pressure, depression, etc. when gay marriage was legalized. So the different reason? We can improve the health of our nation (which will help when people get later on in life and *Gasp* the taxpayer might actually have to pay for some of the effects of high blood pressure etc.)

Gov't should not be in the business of issuing marriage certificates at all Gay or Straight. Individuals who participate in marriage should not be priviledged in any way over individuals who don't. Legalizing gay marriage does not make things more equal. Doing away with Straight marriage does. The gov't should not certify relationships between people and it should not priviledge groups over individuals.SpecOpsScott liked this post
