Re: Minnesota!
Oh shit! Your all good then and know what to expect, Jan is usually the coldest month there so it doesnt get much worse. Of course, you know,......ice fishing involves have'n a few drinks and can be a fun activity in the winter while your there,...although, I just read a email from my ma(all my family still lives there) and she was talking 50's so I personally wouldn't be going on the ice there this year.

Re: Minnesota!
Actually, the ice is better this year than it has been the last few years. No snow yet, so the ice is freezing nice and solid. Of course, there was the incident last week where 22 ice fisherman had to be rescued when the ice they were on broke away, and they were floating into the middle of Lake Mille Lacs (The Dead Sea). LOL.....
And yeah........I'm down. I'll pm you my number.

Re: Minnesota!
LMFAO it is STILL the dead sea? I thought a few years ago it was starting to come back or finally recover Yea like I said you wouldn't catch me out there this year,.....OK MAYBE Lake of the Woods if it has been cold up there and they got the big ass trucks and icehouses out,...you know like 2+ feet thick,...Otherwise I never risked it with my truck and I am not walking a fricking mile out to get to my spot,....Screw all that, if you can't drive out and pop atleast a portable up my ass don't go otherwise it's just too much work to get drunk and maybe get lucky and be on the right spot when they come through. I did all that in my younger more foolish days and believe in ease in my old age lol.

We usually ride out on atv's. There is about a foot or so just North of the cities right now, so it's pretty safe. My buddy was nailing the wallys on Green Lk. ,up by Isanti on Monday.
Oh, and the interviews with the stranded fisherman were classics....
" We had holes at 16ft., and all of a sudden we were in 20ft.....and dropping." LOL.
Sent from my electronic Swiss Army knife.

Re: Minnesota!
LMFAO yea that sounds about right,...I would have probly said the same thing. Ah yea,..I know that lake, it was the first I ever icefished on with my best friends dad. We slaughtered the crappie every 2 hours or so,..I was hooked from then on. But I was probly only like 12 and he gave us a few shots from his flask, it was pretty fun. Leech Lake and Lake of the Woods were always my 2 favs though, almost always limited out on wally's and saugeye's.
