Re: Minnesota!
LOL come on now, ML is not a awesome lake to fish to begin with, do yourself a favor and head to Walker. From in town there, head to the boatlaunch, I want to say there is a storage dock there for bigger boats and a resort that they run a road out from(if yall had snow) and head straight across to the land you see on what looks to be the other side(its not really cause the lake is fricking huge) and go to your north(left). There is a point there, I forget the name of the point and set up in about 15-21' right off the point and fish that depth durning the night hours(that part of the lake is clear so you will see bottom and at that depth they come through about every hour or 2) and set up another house deeper, like 30-35' for the day. I have NEVER come away without my limit from Leech Lake outta Walker. Jig perch rapalas and tip the bottom treble hook with a minnow part(yea i chop the dead minnows up and jig them) and throw a live one on a glow in the dark swedish pimple. I garuntee if you are even close to being on the right spot you will limit out. It is only a extra hour drive from MLL and it is well worth it. I have even pulled out a few 15-20+lb pike outta there too, of course i threw them back, but was a fun fight on a little ass ice fishing pole,....a good 10-15 minute fight :P

Re: Minnesota!
I kinda wish I had pictures from the one I pulled outta there and threw back, I am 6' tall and I pulled a pike out that was from my shoulder it was touching the ground. I have 3 guys that saw it, but only one that i accually know and witnessed it, the other 2 guys was in awe and about died when I threw it back telling them I have caught bigger before.

Re: Minnesota!
Cedar point is the name of the point, thats the very first spot on that lake i fished and limited out on not even knowing where to go or what to use. Later of course I did some exploring and found a spot just as good without having all the people around you that you will have on the point(still less people there then on MLL so its not bad). My spot is about 1/2 mile south of the point accually, there is another sand bar that comes out like a point into the lake that you wouldn't even think is there but it is there, I always used a green colored cabin to find it along with pure memory of how to drive to it in the dark even lol. AND if the time is right and a clear sky you will also see the northern lights which are all green there over the lake, first time i saw them I sat there in awe for about a hour after i figured out what it was lol.
