Sorry to hear that vex, it's an awful feeling, the one piece of advice I can give you is to be with him when you go to put him down, it's made things a little easier on the mind.

and thanks, I am definitely going to be there. Trying to spend as much time as I can with him before he goes. He can't even walk down the stairs to go to the bathroom anymore :/

So sorry Busty and Vex......I know I'm gonna be a puddle when it comes time for my Roxy. Just know that you gave them a good home, and they had a happy life with you.

Damn Bust that really fing sucks. I already know several times over what its like to lose your bud. I noticed the other day that my bud patch is starting to have a hard time getting in the truck and on the bed. Hes 10 now and just thinking about his time coming is a bitch. You made the right call though. As much as you want him with you and he would want to be with you its no way to live. The only recommendation i can give is get another buddy. Its never a replacement for the one you lost but a chance to give another a life they truely do deserve. I know the highlight of my day is when i get home and see they are as happy to see me as i am to see them.

This morning at 5-6ish was the 4 month anniversery of my best boy passing on me. Yea I am not ashamed to say it either that I am in tears right now even, writing this. I didn't have to make the "decision" you had to and I am very lucky that way I have been told. But either way,...I definately feel for you and all of you that may have to go through a pet death.
