Except there is like 2-3 (and some years 4 or 5) good SEC teams despite often having almost the entire league in the top 25 in recruiting, so most of the time almost all the top SEC "recruiting classes" end up doing shit all (and lets not get started with the like 2 top QBs that actually been decent). Plus it probably helps that many of the schools only requirement to get in is "have a pulse." From what I've found Vandy is the main standout, so shocking they also tend to be pretty bad (By the way, the Big 12 is also shitty academically).

Red I don't quite think your understanding what I saying. Yes SEC gets the best recuits (according to ESPN/Rivals). But how often do you see Mississippi State in the top 10 or even 25? Never.

Wisconsin has finished top 10 the last 2 years and there not even close to having top classes.

My point is Geat Coaching beats "Top Recuiting Classes"

Recuiting Classes are overrated. More 3 star recuits end up in the NFL then 5 stars do because 5 stars tend to be very overrated.

Look at Ohio State last year. Great recuiting class but they ending up doing horrible. Florida State had the best recuiting class last year and they end up just as good as Ohio State.
I see your point, however in all fairness, Ohio State just lost their coach of a billion years and are rebuilding the staff/program after that ridiculousness with Pryor.

Having a top recruiting class NOW, won't show until 2-3 years down the road.

Look at the year Bama and LSU had this past year for example, and compare it to the recruiting classes from 3-4 years ago. That's how to judge the class.
