One more semester of Cegep to go, in the natural science program. Next fall, I'll attend a bach in physics, which i will probably fail miserably, but honestly, I've no idea what else I should do of my life at this point

After high school I started college, and dropped out half way through my first semester for work. Went back for the fall semester, and dropped out again for work. Enrolled in the school of hard knocks, and have done many things along the way. Currently an insurance adjuster.

Hahah, well I know 99.99999999999% of posts are to be taken with a grain of salt in the forum I mentioned...aside from being interested in seeing if we have any political science majors, theology majors, journalists etc, any people with actual experience in politics, science etc etc., I´m also just interested in seeing what everybody does for a living. I´ve been in these forums for a while now and I barely know the people I constantly talk to or discuss stuff with or even argue.

We do have a lot of engineers here in varying focuses - Electrical, Mechanical and Nuclear that I know of.
Honestly though, does it really matter if someone has a polyscience degree and pours concrete for a living? They still might know more about some aspects of the products I develop than I do if it is their passion. Profession or education doesn't always align with what someone really lives for.
That said, I think you can usually figure out who is full of it in the high drama forums.Alundil liked this post

Re: What did you study? What do you specialize in? What do you do for a living?
3 years of college without a degree (Radio and TV Broadcasting), joined Army and stayed in for my 4 years, got a job as a pizza delivery driver (Domino's), joined their management program, 3 years later I owned my own store, 3 years later I sold my store, worked for a year at Pizza Hut as a manager, hired by a locally owned hometown restaurant as a Manager, 6 years later the founder/owner died and restaurant closed, 1 year later opened up new restaurant with a partner and have been going with that for near 9 years now, we expanded to 2nd restaurant but it only lasted 3 years (closed in 2008), now we have a bar and coffee shop as well. Of course location changes, and kids and grandkids and marital things affected everything above, but that in a nutshell is my career life.
I have no idea why the "cool" icon is in place of the "8" that should be there, but it should read = closed in 2008Last edited by Bubbasam; 01-13-12 at 05:07 PM.

Currently studying Architectural engineering. It's not what it sounds like. I'm in my senior year now, but once I graduate I'll be designing mechanical systems in buildings for LEED certification.
