you are having a horrible day
Today my car broke down in the middle of East Washington (Madison Busiest Street) causing me to block traffic for a good 45 minutes. While waiting to be towed, I was given the bird and honked at serval times. Then when I thought it was all over, I lost my keys to my apartment.. Hows your day going?

You kno i see this happen all the time, People break down everyone else flips them off and honks like its THEIR fault, Like gtfo, You kno what i do Everytime i see this? Park my truck in the lane next to the broke down car and block traffic in one lane so im safe and i push the persons car to the side of the road, When i was an EMT i used to just throw my blue lights on and block traffic and do the same, Its bullshit when people do that, its no ones fault.
I remember the one time, i blocked traffic to push a car for an old man, 2 cops were in the right lane and didnt even bother to get out and help until i walked over to their car (it was a redlight) That almost ended badly for me, thank god i was wearing my squad shirt that day.

Re: you are having a horrible day
If I'm in my truck I've been known to stop and help someone out of the middle of the road. My car is too small and someone would hit it in the Seattle area being stupid... I wanna put a flashers in my headache rack when I build it for reasons like this...

Re: you are having a horrible day
Ok, heres a bad day.
Registration on my car was due this month as was the inspection. Turns out the car needs about 500 bucks worth of repairs to get it up to snuff, but im strapped. In the mean time the Registration expires but i finally get the cash i need to get the repairs done so i make the appointment for Wednesday morning. Tuesday on the way home a sheriff settles in behind me and a mile from the house the lights go on.
We have a nice conversation as he explains that he ran my plate and found that the Registration was expired. I explain the situation and he was rather receptive. Then he tells me that my license has been suspended since 2008! And to top everything off, i left the new insurance card on my desk at home. So i got a nice little stack of tickets. And they had my car towed to a local lot. Fortunately it was close to home and the tow driver gave me a ride.
Needless to say, im sitting home right now coordinating the logistics of getting my license restored (The local town forgot to file a UT20 with DMV when i settled on a fine that i had forgotten to pay back in '08 ), getting the car to the mechanic then the required paperwork to DMV so i can re register the car and get back on the road... which i cannot do until the license thing gets straightened out. Oh, and did i mention we only have the one vehicle? Yeah, i was planning on using my tax returns this week to buy a second car out right, but my return will not get deposited until next week....
Yeah, that was a shitty day turned into a shitty week. Its all good though, cant blame any one but me for waiting until the last minute to address this shit.Last edited by SpecOpsScott; 02-02-12 at 11:45 AM.

Re: you are having a horrible day
Im sorry but LOL i've had that happen twice now. The first one my insurance company went bankrupt and were nice enough to continue taking payments and never send out a letter about it. The second time county clerk didnt put my paid speeding ticket in the computer right. At least i didnt get my vehicle towed either time. I knew all the cops in the area for the first one and the second one i ripped into a maitland cop about illegally running my tags.
Fucking sucks though scott. What repairs did it need?
