You make the realization...
That you have officially turned into your mother.
So I just got back from vacation to my apartment (I live with two others) and while I was gone my friend came back from his hometown with more kitchen stuff, house stuff, etc. While cleaning / putting stuff away I saw that he reorganized the cabinets and completely changed the way I set everything up. No big deal, but now I've started going crazy about how it doesn't make sense and that it has to be a certain way and I can't help myself. I've become the OCD house cleaning / arranging nazi that my mother was and I'm scared for my sanity.
It's only going to get worse, I've watched my sister in her house. Next thing you know I'll be planting some fucking bushes.
Someone save me, I need beer, a violent movie, and maybe some garbage to scatter around the apartment (since I already packed it up in the dumpsters and vacuumed).

Oh I am very OCD in my kitchen. My spatulas all go in order and rubber, plastic, then metal. The glasses are all organized, and dont stack the bowls red, brown, red, brown. The red ones go together and the brown ones go together.
The knives are the worst, dont put one in upside(in the knife block) down or I will scream. And whatever you do, dont put them in the wrong place!

That's not really OCD...if you've seen the cases I've seen...you'd be going "Whew...thank your god I'm not OCD actually."

My brother was officially diagnosed with OCD...it's not quite as glamorous as people think or as simple as "things need to be in order" it's very much a battle for your own sanity. He's much better these days and is actually teaching at my university. Talk about a turn-around
anyways, back to the cleaning talk
