Why do I exist?

It should be on the list cause this is also true: power supply is capable, device is capable, but the cord doesnt have the proprietary secret code apple wont give to anyone without money.

There used to be articles on this but I couldn't find any to link, they were back with the first couple iPod generations, but its still true.

Well, I too think the list exists.

While I won't argue they deserve a pass for this, I also won't yet say they shouldn't be condemned. In my head (and until I hear more) there might really be (or have been) a good engineering reason for that.

Makes me miss FireWire.
