Living in Lexington, KY sucks... not being a fan of KY basketball and living here sucks... Im not even a Louisville fan, there all over the place too. This city, town, surrounding Louisville/Lexington area is going to be a MAD fucking house these next few days.

    Re: March Madness

I'm not arguing that Duke was the lesser team on that day, but for competition sake, I'd rather watch Duke and Mizzou advance to play the likes of Florida and the higher seeds. Teams like that have a better shot to make the games more interesting, more competitive and in the long run, more people want to watch Duke and Mizzou, not Leigh and Norfolk St.

Look at it this way, when Bama lost to UL monroe a couple years back, UL monroe was technically the better team on that day, but no one in the right mind really believe UL monroe is better than Bama nor would you think they would fair better in a playoff system than Bama would.

Point is moot now, since the bitch teams that everyone wants to be contrarian with, aren't in the final four or the elite 8...shocker. I am satisfied with watching Kentucky and Kansas playing Louisville and UNC respectively, and not Montana A&M and Idaho international technical online college.

    Re: March Madness

In the long run people want to see upsets, or their team. I realize small teams can never make it interesting (like oh Lehigh almost beating Xavier), I mean how boring was it when Butler and VCU made their runs? In fact the 2011 Championship (UCONN vs. Butler) got a 13.3/21, below the previous years Duke vs. Butler but better then such match-up as:
    UNC vs. Michigan State
    Kansas vs. Memphis
    Florida vs. UCLA

Really outside of the first half hour, it doesn't appear a game with OSU/Kansas (which was the late game iirc) did any better then last years first game with "smaller" cinderellas in it.

By the way the end of Duke/Lehigh (to the start of Xavier/Notre Dame) had viewership of 8.4 million
