Work has turned into a black pit of dispair.
So I commissioned jan 20th, and don't class up until April 2nd. Had a week off and have been stashing at the school house ever since. My day consists of checking in at 7:30 doing random bullshit tasks, like cleaning garbage cans and sweeping floors, and the occasional file organization, done by 8. Sit in a classroom for another 3 hours, go on a lunch break until 1. After lunch I go back, maybe sweep or some stupid shit again, and leave by 1:30, or sit around for another 2 hours and finally go home.
Yes relaxing is nice, but this is just awful. I literally just sit and drink beer and state at a fucking wall wondering what exciting thing I might do. I've already read like 12 books and don't know what else to do.
Next up is 5 months of 8 hours of death by PowerPoint 5 days a week.....

Make sure to get on a sub. Much more relaxed atmosphere, at least that's what the Navy Nucs I talked to told me. Not as many women though.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.

Well officers have staterooms with two others so it's somewhat better, but not amazing. I will have space for my golf clubs though for port calls. The wardroom also has nice couches and big TVs to relax in and watch some movies. Oh an yes it will be my first duty.
And White nukes may have a slightly more relaxed atmosphere but it's also pretty nasty. The culture is insane and I have no desire to live in a tube. When I cross the equator for the first time I have NO desire to eat a cherry or olive out of a greased up fat guys stomach while he is in tighty whities and being blindfolded and having to search for the cherry with my mouth.

Ahaha it's a Wog Day celebration. Polywogs are those who haven't crossed the equator yet. Going through the 'fun times' makes you a shellback. It's just an odd navy thing. Although they have started to phase it out because it's hazing I guess. Other than the cherry part it's actually really fun and hilarious.
