OK whos got a green thumb?
I've had this banyon tree for about 3 years. Well last winter the cold almost killed it and now its coming back. Except now it looks like a damn bush. I want a banyon tree not a fucking bush. Isnt there a way to break a piece off or trim it to make this thing take off like a tree again? My level of expertise involves digging a hole and dropping it in so try to keep that in mind if anyone responds.

Not that i know of. It started out like a tree going up and then out. That particular part died so now it has mulitple runs coming from around where that part was. Of which its right next to the ground. So no run going straight up but many going out.

lol i like simple answers but i dont think that gonna cut it this time. I wish the fucker would drop a seedling or something. Its a rare tree in florida and as such i would like to see it grow as intended. Not that i would see the trees potential in my life time but it would be nice to leave it behind. Truely a remarkable tree imo when they are mature. It would be asome to leave this for the next several centuries.

Re: OK whos got a green thumb?
Yeah thats where the tree was until the last cold snap last year. I thought the whole thing died but it started coming back during the summer. Now i just want to find a way to get this thing to start acting normal even if that means clipping pieces and starting a new one.
