Thread: When a product doesn't come with everything.

So while I started to build my PC, I got the processor, heatsink, and ram installed on the motherboard. Now it was time to go ahead and put the motherboard into the tower now and put the I/O shield on the back. Well the company forgot to put the I/O shield with the motherboard. So instead of putting the motherboard on without it and just to take it off when I get it to put it on, I decided to wait. So I called the company and told them that the part was missing and the Rep was nice during the process. The Rep filled out the form and said it will be ship out today (4/20). Well didn't get any tracking number from UPS of it being shipped so I waited a few days. Well on 4/25, I decided enough days has gone by and needed to get an update. A Rep told me that the product should have been shipped but they didn't have a tracking number. Guess what, a few hours later I get the email from UPS stating that the package label was just created. Turns out the package was never shipped after my first call and it took another call to get them to actually send the package to UPS. So instead of getting the missing part within a few days, it will take over a week for the missing part to arrive and delaying the whole build. Sent in a complaint and the only thing they said was sorry for the miscommunication and wish this didn't happen.

EVGA, it seems that them missing parts in their product isn't as rare as you would think.

How often do they mess up on shipping it out? Unfortunate accidents DO happen you know...

not sure how often it happens but when it does you would think they would try to help solve the issue quickly. Now to make this matter worst, when I was able to install everything and finally hit the power button. . . The system goes into a loop of restart mode and bam the bios that was on the mobo does not recgonize the CPU . . . Now I had to call tech support to have them send me an updated bios chip to replace the one on my mobo and they claim to put on a 3 day shipping. So much trouble with building this PC, I just hope this is the last hurdle.
