Erm... I didn't read into it, but the first post said "Four Team Playoff". Where do wildcards come from?

I agree. I still hate the BCS but at least this is making it more bearable than their stupid shit standings system being the only thing they have to go on.

    Re: The BCS is dead!

I did hear an interesting counter argument today on the radio. Colin Cowherd was talking about the year before last. Oregon and Auburn were both undefeated, and played in the NC game. TCU was also undefeated, and would have been the third team. Then, for the 4th slot, you had your pick of 1 loss teams; Boise State, Stanford, Ohio State, Michigan State, and Wisconsin. He had some interesting points, but basically said whichever of those teams wasn't picked would be seriously whining, especially the 3 from the Big 10.

What I have been hearing and reading some is that the strength of schedule factor is still going to be considered into this. So basically it still kind of screws the lesser conference teams for tearing up their softer schedule.

It really doesn't matter. Most people wanted change because of LSU and Alabama playing twice and GUESS WHAT......................
It still can happen o.0 2 or 3 SEC teams in the top 4.......That ring a bell?

I think the playoff system is going to try and prevent that exact thing from ever happening again. Im almost willing to bet that the NCAA will find a way to ensure that all 4 teams in the playoff are from different conferences.

Example and this is a quote: Does Boise State have a clear path to play for a championship now? Or any schools formerly known as non-AQ? Of course, not, instead the same people who brought us the BCS are selling this as “an open marketplace for schools” which is as good-luck-with-all-that as it sounds for Broncos coach Chris Peterson. What this basically means is Alabama and LSU will have to play a Big 12 and a Big Ten school before meeting in the championship in 2014.

What safeguards are in place that this 15-man committee will do any better than polls and computers in selecting?

Yes, the BCS is dead. The BS lives

Watch out, four-team plan not really playoff for college football - College Football News | FOX Sports on MSN

I hate this lady but she has a valid point and I find myself agreeing. I'm tired of hearing non SEC people boo whooing and this didn't do anything to change that. I recommend reading her entire article.

    Re: The BCS is dead!

Jen Engel used to be on the radio here in Dallas. She has some good opinions, but like everyone else, she is also full of crap sometimes. While I agree this system is flawed I ask what system isn't? Look at March Madness. Every year we have people complain about who is in, and who is out. That is the way it goes. If Boise truly cared about winning a football NC they would move to a power conference just like TCU did. Oh wait, none of the real power conferences want them. Wonder why that is? Oh yeah, because they are the best of the crappy teams in CUSA, the Mountain West, etc.

BCS is not dead until .. they total get rid of the bowl system and have a marchmadness style tournament.. but chances of that happening is slim to none..
