Apparantly in 2014 there will be a 4 team playoff. Should be interesting to see.

What? No. That has been the argument for years. D1 is the ONLY division in college football without a playoff.

Oh my mistake, don't watch much college football. I'm a casual fan, only watch the bowl games and such. I do remember once a team went undefeated in the season and was not selected for the bowl game because of the ratings. Thought it was stupid...

4 team play off is a step in the right direction. I can honestly see them making it a playoff amongst all the major conference champs, SEC, BIG10, PAC12 and ACC.

Considering the time its taken to get here.... I am ok with it, give it time, it will organize and shape into something we all want within a few years. Hopefully 8 or more teams and some sort of division champion auto playoff spot with wild cards.

Wow, really?

So, for example, University of Oklahoma and University of Texas would simply not be eligible? That'd be like a death sentence.

Not saying you're wrong. But... wow.
