Are the Pittsburgh Pirates for real?

They have the number one record in their division and are nine games over 500. They haven't had a winning season in 20 years. Are they for real?

I don't think they will win the division, but I do think they will finally top .500.

Very true. I think the NL central is a very underrated division with the Cardinals, Reds, Pirates, and Brewers all being very good teams. (The cubs and astros are horrible). I think that if their pitching stays in tact and their hitting remains respectable, they could challenge for that new second wild card spot.

Start good the first half of the season suck at the last half of it.. Pirates are in no way going to win the division..

They should trade for cole hamels...then they will be for real....if they dont pick up some better pitching they will fade

You won't convince me the Pirate are for real until that piece of shit that bought them (Bob Nutting) either sells them or is shot and killed. They'll manage to lose all their decent players next season.
