You'd be more accurate to start the "insert carrier" is a POS topic. It's their fault (and their shite "Customizations" that slow the process or stop it entirely for certain handsets - but that just means root and scoot)

True, but Google has the power. Google needs to tell the handset/device manufacturers AND the carriers that if they want to offer the cool Android stuff then they have to meet certain criteria, such as releasing updates/patches within a certain timeframe. Why is it that the iPhone is available on all carriers, except TMO, yet I see no posts from people waiting for the new iOS?
